About Nootka Sea Glass
I find it incredible that my sea glass collection, or rather obsession, spans FIFTY years. Since picking up my very first piece of glass on Cromer beach, Norfolk as a little girl, little did I know that half a century later I'd end up dedicating a whole room to it and teaching others how to make their own unique and wearable sea glass jewellery.
The Beginning
In 2018 I made a few pieces of jewellery from my huge collection of sea glass and I soon found myself being asked to make pendants and earrings for friends. Personal commissions soon escalated and I was asked to stock a few individual retailers and galleries across the UK including The Henge Shop in Avebury, Norfolk's Castle Acre Gallery, & Cromford Studio & Gallery in The Peak District. Word soon spread and I now stock a variety of additional outlets. Nootka Seaglass Jewellery can also be purchased from Hare & The Bear in Norfolk, Lamorna Art Gallery in Cornwall and Heather Jane & Co in Fowey, Porthleven, Looe Cornwall and in Tavistock, Devon.

I'm a Real Life Mermaid!
I’m passionate about everything sea and coastal related from mermaids to folklore and I've even helped rescue seals with Seal & Shore Watch. I need to visit the beach every week and on more than a few occasions its been suggested I'm a mermaid!

My sea glass collection has travelled with me throughout ten house moves. Because my collection spans fifty years it's become a huge part of my life. I have very few possessions aside from a large number of books, so my collection of sea glass is not only precious to me, I truly treasure it.
The quality of sea glass found on UK beaches today is very poor and sadly this still ends up being made into (in my opinion - unsalable) jewellery. I'm therefore thankful for having such a large collection spanning half a decade that I can create my jewellery from, which enables me to provide the very best quality jewellery that my stockists are proud to display and my customers enjoy wearing.
